I recently traveled up to Boston to visit one of my good friends and share some wonderful adventures around town. We went and saw many things, though we were mainly focused on the art, especially the Harvard Museums, the Museum of Fine Arts, and the Isabella Steward Gardner Museum. Here are some of my favorite highlights of the trip!
The courtyard at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum
This was one of the most beautiful and magical places I have ever been to! The entire design combined Moorish, Roman, Medieval, Islamic, and Spanish architecture and art and sculpture along with a very lush garden.
Boston Public Gardens
We spent one afternoon strolling through the Boston Public Gardens and making friends with some baby ducks. We also got the chance to see and sit on the famous bench from Good Will Hunting. After the death of the great Robin Williams, many people wrote quotes from his movies and messages of thanks and gratitude. A truly moving memorial and piece of pop culture history.
The Contemporary Art Section at the Museum of Fine Arts
Although this museum had so many great exhibits, including an absolutely stunning Hokusai exhibit, I wanted to share some pictures of the contemporary art section. I love the space and atmosphere of contemporary art, and wanted to share this feeling with you all!
Until next time!
