It's only fitting that our first Follow Tuesday post goes out to someone whose first name is Tuesday. This Minneapolis College of Art and Design graduate currently lives in L.A., lending her creative hand to various freelance projects. Tuesday's art has been gracing my Instagram feed since early last year, and I'm always thrilled whenever one of her girl-power-centric illustrations is shared. Clean, fluid lines and opaque, bright colors make up the badass female characters she brings to life on paper. Her work brings out that inner "riot grrrl" attitude in all of us.
I especially love following Tuesday on Instagram, because I get to see some "behind-the-scenes" snapshots from her life as a successful illustrator. Often, she even posts videos of herself shaping the outlines that will soon bring to life one of her drawings. Getting to see her doodles become finished pieces of work is the inspiration everyone needs to get their pens and pencils out of their desk drawers.
In case you were wondering, Tuesday also lends her illustrative skills to the world of ceramics, art zines, accessories, and embroidery works.
